The game bears no resemblance to college football of decades past. Completely lawless, players just bouncing from one program to the next to the next, regional conferences and rivalries destroyed, and so on.

I remember the NFL before free agency. You could depend on your team being pretty much the same personnel from one season to another. There were trades, obviously, but nowhere near as common.
