We have the talent and the coaches. It's going to come down to the turnover margin. Last year it was a disaster. Yes, I understand this alludes to talent and coaching deficiencies, but I would imagine this has been an emphasis during fall camp.
There is only one team on our schedule this season that is more talented on paper. I predict we go 10-2 during the regular season but beat FSU. Will most likely drop an "upset" game like Pitt or VT but will learn from it and ultimately win the ACC. If not, we may still be eligible for an at-large spot for the playoff as a very low seed if we can finish 10-2.
Sit back and enjoy the ride. We will absolutely be a better team than last season. Hopefully that translates to the W-L column.

This is silly response. All he said he wants to wait to see us in action to gauge the season. Against UGA is a tough one to use as an baseline example, but it's the only one we have for this year short of the spring game (which, IMO, is not a good corporate gauge of anything.)
If we play reasonably well verse a team like UGA, that will be great in terms of rest of the season. If we don't, it may or may not mean a whole lot as first game of season.
Regardless, it's fair to say I want to see.them execute over 4 quarters first before doing any season-wide predictions
It really is OK to use a football forum to .... discuss football.

Clemson has the talent to beat any team in college football...for some reason we were not prepared to win...we should never lose to Duke...Dabo was out of hedge and we made too many mistakes! What happened last year does not matter unless we play that way this year! We have the horses, let's run em!

that seems capable of actually coaching QBs in a way that helps them to improve from one season to the next. Hiring a capable coach to do that may help us to transform these highly touted but raw high school QBs into effective college players.

I think you are wrong, we landed DJU, the top QB in his class, just didn't work out, Cade was also one of the top QB's in his class, the verdict is this out on him really, but both these guys were top shelf, should have been generational actually !

I'd love to see Clemson come out and bust UGA in the mouth and use it to set the tone for the season.
I agree with you tho - every game is winnable. It'll just depend on how fast things can come together on both sides of the ball since we traditionally start off slow.
If this team is as hungry as they say they are we can absolutely go 12-0. Of course, we heard it last year and we could've easily fell to 6-6 or worse.
Can't wait to find out. Glad we got an early game later this month just so I don't have to wait all day.
