….this is one of the five worst teams of my lifetime and the worst since Tommy West last year. I can’t believe how far this program has declined under horrible leadership from the top in a short period of time. The press conferences full of arrogance saying if they are tired of winning I will leave were childish and dodged responsibility. Dabos coaching job this year is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

My Freshman year was ‘75 when we went 2-9 and then 3-6-2 the following year. I believe those were our worst two consecutive year seasons on record. I hope we don’t wind up testing that between this season and next season…

If you started in '72, four of your first five years ('72 to '76 escept for '74) were among the worst ever.

then bolted after two years as HC, but that's probably not important after 47/48 years. Have always wondered how Red would have done if allowed to stay for '77 and '78.

Yeah. And while wandering through the desert in the 90s and early 2000s…it was hard for anyone to imagine we would ascend to the very top of the college football world.
But it happened.

Overconfidence has been Dabo's problem. This year should serve as a wake-up call in that nothing is given, it is earned. I think his past successes have gone to his head, and Clemson has been standing still while the rest of the league has adapted. Call it stubbornness if you like.
I have no doubts that he will adjust and make the right decisions about staff and adressing eeds in the protal..
And we do not know what he knows, we are not in the locker room, on the sideline, or in team meetings and practices. For us to suggest we know better is just silly. Firing the all-time winningest coach in ACC history is ludicrous. If he fails to make a significant improvement next year, then this discussion is valid.

I agree this is one of the worst teams I have ever witnessed. I have been going to games since being a child and my dad graduated Clemson and started getting tickets in 81. Embarrassing! Tommy west days were bad to but this team is far worse than Bowden years
