Look, we got beat by a team that was supposed to beat us with the only difference being by more than expected.
Yeah, I'm annoyed at all of the things that are being posted but it's football season and it's too soon to throw in the towel and be miserable. I have all season to fuss about Dabo, Cade, Riley, the Portal, NIL and so on.
Now it's time to take this 12 team playoff format out for a spin to see what it can do.
We know the problems so you can clutch your pearls and be miserable for the rest of the season or suck it up and see what happens. I'm old enough to remember the Red Parker days so most fans under 30 have no idea of how bad things can really get.
The real season starts with the ACC opener against NC State and they struggled against Western Carolina.
The only team in the ACC that looks legit out of the gate is Miami but Florida sucks and they have a coach with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

Perception is a mighty tool. And we just got humiliated, clobbered, and beat down by our opponent.
Reinforcing the perception that Clemson has been passed. Also reinforcing the truth that Clemson has been passed.
Yesterday’s game will have lasting consequences for years to come.
Even if we win the ACC the perception and truth remains. We haven’t been elite for years.
(With that said, I understand your logic and I agree that we need to flush that game and go attack our ACC schedule. Let’s go win the conference and bring home a trophy)

we can't afford to overlook ANYBODY. Look at what Old Dominion almost pulled on the Coots AT HOME yesterday, if you want to see what overlooking an opponent will get you.
Also ask Virginia Tech, they obviously took Vandy for granted as a gift "W". WRONG! Vandy is still in the SEC, whether they deserve to be or not, and getting beat on week after week has toughened them up.

Certainly not overlooking App State but the CFP model rewards conference champs in a big way. Based on what I saw, I have every reason the think this team is capable of being 4-1 After the Florida State Game.
UGa is a historically great program and I suspect they'll be laying the wood to a lot of teams this year. It's unwise to let this first game of the season to define us.
Now if we're 2-2 after the FSU game all bets are off.

That's kind of my perception too. The only difference for me is that with all the money being exchanged, we can no longer treat college football like a game. It is now a business... for the players, coaches, and university. We need to treat it as such. For that reason I don't care nearly as much about wins and loses. It is no longer personal with me. I will still pull for the Tigers, but it is no longer life and death for me... it's a bad day on the stock market.

I’m right there with you brother. I’ll always pull for the Tigers, but there are a lot more important things in my life than football.

The team could easily still be in the playoffs. Our OC sucks. Hopefully the staff adapts.

This is a 6 - 8 win team from what I saw yesterday. In fact if they don’t fix the issues quickly (they won’t) we could easily be 1-4 out of the gate.
