Personally, I think some of what he meant in copy cat plays was the shovel pass TD. They had tried running it the drive or 2 prior and failed (Austin Bryant had it called out), then when it was our turn, we did a shovel pass to get the TD. Think he was referring to us using the same play they had try running...which is dumb considering that very pass was a learning lesson for the Clemson coaches vs Pitt a few years back. If anything, they've been practicing that one since that game to learn how to run and defend it.

He was talking about us taking some of the game-plans from UGA and OU offensively (and to a lesser extent defensively) and using it against the Tide. So instead of us running stuff that we ran all year, we added some new wrinkles that had already been used and successful against the Tide. I don't know why he was surprised or complaining about this... If they had success using it, then why wouldn't we try it? And why wouldn't they prepare for it!? Just a whiny little man.

I think that is the very reason that both team have film on each other, and that is to see what they do, and what their opponents have done that failed and what was successful. I guess our coaches done a better job with film study bc we were prepared, they wasn't, tough titty said the kitty, literally!!!

It's very telling that Renfrow said in a recent article that he felt going in to the game that it was the best offensive gameplan he has been a part of while at Clemson.

I completely agree with you on what he was referring to as to where Clemson got the plays.
I would go even further than to say UGA and Oklahoma though. I wouldn't be shocked if checking film showed us that Clemson used some plays that helped Arkansas roll up some points on the tide.
If Chad found something, I'm sure he shared it with our staff.
Where we differ is our perception of Saban's comments. I didn't take them as whining or complaining that we had used those plays.
I think he was so shocked that they had no answers for our offense that he was trying to rationalize what he was seeing. I'm sure his expectations were to go over those plays and stop us in the 2nd half.
I think this is the reason that he looked so miserable in the 2nd half. After making adjustments he realized there was nothing he could do but hope for mercy from our staff.

The Chad tagged Bama's defense a few times too.

I think it was old miss that gave Bama's defense fits. Imo, there were several tells about Bama this season. The lack of depth on defense was not a surprise to me so I laughed when Herbie mentioned Clemson defense being tired before half time.

Copy-Cat plays

Saban's exact quote was, "They're doing some things that we hadn't... you know, copy-cat stuff that other people had done against us, that we hadn't practiced against."
That seems pretty clear that he's talking about film/plays from other teams (Bama opponents) that we hadn't shown in the past. Not sure where the confusion is coming from.

We just proved we are the best ever National Champions, bc you're right that we beat the 3d place playoff team and owned them. We then turn around a week later and owned the 1st place team out of the playoffs, who else in history has done that, and we done it being undefeated in all 15 games we played through out the season, the bad ones and the very best ones that they could put in front of us, and we absolutely owned them...Like our HC Dabo Swinney said, we left no doubt that we were the best. We all have always been told, to be the man, you have to beat the man, we destroyed and embarrassed the man. We are now the MAN!!!

Feaster could have his best year next year.

His history of injuries contributed to his relatively slow development. Being healthy for an extended period gives him the opportunity to get his body ready and his confidence up to the point where he can cut it loose.
I think he has something to prove.

Feaster may pull a Kelly Bryant and see how it goes up to four games. then either try his hand a the pros or transfer because he will have graduated.
