The D must rise to the occasion, as 93 did in '06, and take care of business against the 112th ranked total O in America.

Gaines & crew forced 4 TOs and held the Deacs to a measly 31 rushing yards on that glorious Saturday in Winston-Salem.

Golden opportunity for senior leadership, most notably Malliciah, to take charge. He's long overdue. Front-7 must play violent, fast, and disciplined to help ease the burden on Brewer, GP, and Cortez.

Do it for Gaines. Hit 'em in the mouth, and proudly represent this great university realizing nobody's promised tomorrow.

I rushed back from out of town to my apartment in Lightsey Bridge to watch this game. It was a blast, and Gaines Adams was Gaines Adams.

What was great about that game was that after Gaines scored the TD, all of the Wake fans started leaving them game. They still had a 14 point lead at that point but I feel most thought we would turn it on.
