Doubt it. I’d say he registered as a republican to be able to vote in the primary. Pennsylvania has a closed primary system meaning only republicans can vote for republicans and democrats can only vote for democrats.
I’ll go out on a limb and say he changed his affiliation to R so he could vote against Trump in the primary.
I could be wrong about him but i changed my affiliation when living in Pennsylvania in the past.

He looks like a stereotypical incel / extremely online person, and there are plenty of those on "both sides". He was much more into gun culture than your average liberal, that's for sure. I just thought it was noteworthy that he was a registered Republican, which is a fact regardless of why he chose to register that way.

I think one of those things is a bit more relevant than the other.. That said, him being a registered Republican doesn't necessarily mean he supported them. There are multiple reasons why he might have chosen to register that way. Just thought it was a noteworthy detail, considering how many people are claiming that he was a Democrat.
