to get money back if a player is kicked off the team or enters the portal or voluntarily leaves for whatever reason besides injury before or midway through the season?

For example, Tavoy Feagin. He probably was signed to some sort of NIL deal before the last portal window. He is now leaving. Does he still get paid in full?

nevermind, I found a source that said possibly but it depends on the deal

and how it is structured. If it requires some sort of service typical to a real endorsement such as apperances, autograph sessions, etc then yes. If it is more bogus and pure pay for play with no real requirements then the entity providing the funds can be S.O.L.

I thought it was common sense something like this would be lawyered up

I don't get the Feagin example. The kid played 11 snaps so why would you assume he had any kind of NIL contract other than maybe a Whopper and an order of fries?

go look at our NIL page, he is still listed so you can see

the available options from appearances to autographed gear etc..

Im going to bet that the entire roster is getting a NIL deal of some sort from a few thousand a yr to millions.

The 2025 recruiting class NIL average per player was $66,000. Henderson was like our 3rd or 4th highest rated player so its safe to assume he probably got >$66k plus full schollie benefits. So in my world, that is a lot more than a Whopper happy meal. It's crazy unproven immature kids can sign these contract to be part of a state institution.
