+7foot dang I knew he was tall when I saw him at walk ons before Sundays baseball game but I didn't know he was that tall! Congrats Coach Brownell!

Great news!!
This guy has a lot of potential. He was monster at Oak Hill in HS. Played behind a lot of loaded bigs at Duke his first year, and injuries his second year.
He will add depth to a good starting front line, and then two more years after that since he redshirted this past season.
Still feel like need one more peice from portal in a power forward/small forward on the lines of Godfrey or Clark.
Get that and have Chase comeback and look out...

Oak Hill is loaded with depth each year so yeah but still a quality big.

This is still a bit of a project, but a quality one. He's still young, not a lot of experience. He could develop and become a force.

Absolutely not. He came out of HS as a 4 star. He had many quality offers. Played sparingly on a loaded Duke team as a Freshman. Then his injury. No reason to think he still cannot shine. I coached this game . . . seems doable.

Outstanding pick-up.
You look at what some other teams are able to do to opponents "at the rim" even if they don't block them. A 7 footer and a 6'11 player should make dribble drives to the pain a bit uncomfortable.
Just wonder about their offensive production. Hopefully, that will come as more opportunities await them here.

Coach Brownell said in his after season presser yesterday that he expects Wiggins to jump to a 12 to 14 pt scorer. Chase and JZ will each be double figure scorers also. Chase probably around 15 to 16 a game, and Shef will also be a 13 to 15 pt scorer. Anything else from these other guys is gravy with that.

I think Lakhin can score double figures as well. I think the defense is going to very very solid. Heidbreder is going to be a high volume scorer in shared minutes

Just the fact it goes to press "transfer from Duke" should pay huge dividends for current and future recruiting. Kids pick up on that. Just like girard from cuse stating go to Clemson. Any production is just an added bonus imo.
No different than football recruiting when we go head to head with Bama. It plays. Well done coach.

Not sold on this being a game changer yet. If we can develop this guy like Hunter Tyson, Chef or Chase, it could be something special. Given his numbers to date, there is a lot of opportunity for improvement. All in all, pretty good late pick up.
