I’d say the loss McNeese State was just some kind of a fluke.
Upsets are normal in the NCAAT, but I’m saying I think Brad seems to have found consistency in the portal, and winning more games.
Can’t knock the fact that we beat 3 blue bloods last year.

Are preseason rankings less important than the score at halftime?

I think Clemson has an argument to be ranked, but they most likely won’t due to the AP poll being largely based on subjective biased opinions of voters. Good news is that they have plenty of early non conference games to prove themselves.

We should be. The program is on an upward trajectory. Brad is using all the tools available to him by building a team through the portal and NIL payments. The university is spending more than ever on facilities and coach’s salaries. Anything less than making the sweet 16 would be underachieving.

If I’ve learned anything in the last year it’s that history means nothing. If our football program can become a bunch of losers as quickly as it has, why can’t our basketball get to the top of the mountain just as fast? After all, we are investing more than ever in facilities and coach salaries and using the portal. If you do those things you have to win it all, right? At this point, anything less would be underachieving.

College Basketball writer Andy Katz has Clemson in hia power top 38 after the NBA Draft. Even if you are right outside as of now means people think you have the makings to be a top team to contend for an NCAAT. Link:
