I think the white helmet with a silver/grey jersey with oragne pants would be a great look. What do you guys think would be a good combo they don't use?

Orange top at home, all white on the road, don't touch the helmet...create a nationally recognizable brand.
I don't like all the meddling with the uniforms. Most of the time the teams come out looking like a bunch of clowns (Maryland).

The helmets will never change. Orange, Purple, & White are the colors. Not silver. Not black. Not gold.
Clemson's traditional unis make a statement every time out--no need to jump on the Nike-ridiculous-new-jersey-every-week-bandwagon.

I do like the white one for road games. That's it. If we had to get another helmet IF (it will never happen I am 99% sure though) I would get the white one. Looks good.

of it if you want to "shake things up." Loser teams are the once who think for some reason that if they shake up their uniforms it will improve their win-loss record.
You never see the elite of college football (Alabama, the real USC, Nebraska, Ohio State, etc.) tinker with their uniforms.
Our uniforms are orange on white, white on white, and all-orange for special games.

if the number of different uniforms determined how many games you won then Maryland would go undefeated. But, all I'm saying is there is nothing wrong with something a little different. I never said I wanted to PERMANENTLY change the uniforms it was just a topic I found interesting.

Alabama, Nebraska, and TOSU have done something with their unis the past few years in the way of a "Pro Combat" jersey or a special Adidas "one time" kind of uniform for Nebraska.
Point is, even the big boys will do it if Nike/Adidas/UA whoever throws enough cash at them.

I've never understood the "no white helmet so we can create a nationally recognized brand"... ESPN uses a white background and orange paw every week for us. All the purists should remember Danny took a chance with the orange pants once. I don't see how a white helmet with orange paw could hurt our brand.

Rule No. 1; never, ever, under any circumstances are you to mess with the helmets.

I just think we need to switch up some uniform stuff sometimes to get the team pumped up. I know it's sad that is what it takes these day, but I've had players personally complain to me that they wish we switched something up with the Uni's.

Look guys, you don't want to change a good thing and I don't want to change a good thing. The bottom line is that we aren't 19 year old kids. If it excites the players to change things up once in a while then do it. If not, don't. People like Oregon are using this new age flashy look to get the attention of not just fans but young recruits. I say leave the uniforms alone but it doesn't make a hill of beans what you or I think. It's about the players.....current and future.

I don't mind anything that is done as long as it features our actual SCHOOL COLORS. I hate this current trend of using gray, silver, black, carbon, anthracite, cream, beige, or any of these other "accent" colors that aren't actually school colors. Our colors are Orange, Purple, and White, so I'm fine with any combo of the three.
It's possible to watch an Oregon game and not even realize their school colors are green and gold.

I actually didn't mind them either.
Having said that, I prefer the Orange helmet as is. I think I could do without the Purple helmet, but a White alternate could be kinda neat.
Like for one road game, wear all white (helmet included), and for one home game wear a White helmet / Purple Jersey / White Pants combo.
For all other home games, Orange helmets, Orange jerseys, white pants, except for one game with All Orange.
For the road games, I don't mind switching up the pants a bit...I like the White Jerseys / Purple Pants combo.

Please leave tradition alone for your children. If you need to leave your mark on Clemson go into the world and establish yourselves as good quality people by doing a good job at your work, having and raising good children, being decent citizens and exposing your Clemson roots where ever you go.
Don't contaminate the culture of Clemson just to show you've been here.

If they start this Oregon uniform BS I will be ashamed!! If anything were wrong with our uniforms we should have changed them many years ago but what we have now is a Classic look that meshes the old school with the new in a nice way...
