Clemson vs. Georgia Tech prediction: Can the Tigers get back on track?
Clemson and Georgia Tech in the rain? Let’s go. The cross-division ACC rivals renew acquaintances Saturday night in Death Valley. Both teams have a lot play for – neither team can afford another conference loss if they want to make it to the ACC Championship Game. For Clemson, another loss pretty much crushes all of the season goals. Full Story » |

Thanks dhood, but did you mean "shutdown defense"?

I thought if so, you'd rather hear it from a friend and not someone like Bob.

If davidhood® wrote "shutdown offense" then he meant it. Like it, or lump it.

What "shutdown defense?" They have as yet to show up. I'm no expert, but to me Clemson thus far has been a very pedestrian team. And I'm a rabid fan, but I'm not delusional. Our starting QB, when he can walk, is at best a Division 2 quality QB. And we have a 5-star guy sitting on the bench?? Neither of the other QB's have shown any ability to close the deal. Why not give the other guy a shot? To imagine that Kelly Bryant's ankle has healed in this space of time is absurd. Hope I'm wrong. Just MHO.

We will either score 7, 14, or 21. With our kicker missing wayyyyy wide right, or wayyyy wide left, I wouldn't risk holding my breath for any 3 point scores. None, Zero, Notta, wide right- wide left!!!

The true problem with the Tiger offense. 1 group that has always remain the constant problem and the weak point of the offense is the "offensive line". I've watch multiple games where our QB has less than 2 seconds to get the ball out. Bryant shouldve been sacked more, but only due to his strength and ability to run has saved the sack amount stat. This is the reason we haven't establish a vertical passing game. WE HAVE NO TIME!!!! 2) let's forget about the statement I've hear all year " we couldn't pass the ball down field because of how they were playing us". Forget that!!!!! We have the athletes to impose our will on them, not the other way around. Get aggressive in the play calling, and stop calling plays not to lose......... Let get back to an explosive offense and overall Clemson team. Go Tigers!!!!!

Several of the experts believe that if Kelly isn't close to 100% and we have to rely on Cooper any significant time, Clemson WILL LOSE tomorrow.
Just saying... I think its very possible #21

I am very concerned that RAIN favors GT.

It is usually difficult to pass in the rain. We will really need to have our running game going, which could be difficult if passing is not a threat. I hope the coaches have a good game plan. I hope KB is healthy.

Am concerned about the rain. Does favor the run game and ol has better leverage in running power runs and as someone else stated our ol hasn’t exactly imposed their will on anyone this year.
When kB has had time it’s usually a qb run. That’s the way our offense has set up this year. Thought back to spring game and it really was a blueprint for our offense this year.
kB best game really was vt. I mean Louisville defense has turned out to be horrible. Defense had their best game against auburn and bc and won those games for us.
Imho if the defense can impose their will like the bc and auburn game, we’ll win. If the offense doesn’t open it up and hit the middle routes we could be in for a long night.
Don’t underestimate the bee’s this year, they’re solid and they have a really good passing attack and I think we’re in for a surprise from pj. Think he’ll come in firing away and try to hit some quick routes. GT may be the best passing team we’ve seen all year. They’ll roll the qb to fake the run and then pass. Opponents wr’s have been open every game. Fortunately until cuse our dline contained the qb enough before the routes came open this yr.
