New offer

Adam Kissayi, 3 star DE, from Florida. Had been committed to Minnesota when the offer went out and immediately decommitted.

Woke up and he has been CB’d to Clemson already. 247 lists him at 6’7.5 and 230 pounds, which is really similar to Darien Mayo.

The only coach on the staff I question is Lemanski Hall. He has been on the staff long enough and development has been average. In both stints Marion Hobby would rotate in underclassmen and the 2 & 3 stars without missing a beat. Once Hall ran out of Hobby coached players it has been a huge slide.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

It does seem like our DEs have taken a step back under Hall. The talent is clearly there, but the production has not been.

Not arguing for or against, but interesting how highly...

a well-received analytics model regards Coach Hall. [Lemanski still top 5 LB name]

And should bob or another accountant type show up and ask...

It's well endowed, you know, HUGH.

Matrix Analytical Solutions developed the Coach Rating Index in 2009 to measure the careers of all on-field coaches, regardless of position. Matrix Analytical's data is not available publicly, but 247Sports was provided exclusive access this offseason. MAS sells its data to athletic departments and coaches, which then utilize the data to better inform coaching searches across the FBS and FCS.

For the first time, Matrix Analytical provided 247Sports with an exclusive peek.

What is the Coach Rating Index?

The CRI is "a massive grading system with over 30,000 individual unit profiles and over 250,000 annual coaching result reports. If a coach was designated in an on-field role in that time span in either the FBS or FCS levels, he is in the database with a career number rating and accompanying career star rating."

Position coaches are "graded on the cumulative play-by-play effectiveness of their unit." Coordinators are graded on per-play efficiency. Head coaches are "graded on their win and loss records broken down and weighted by difficulty/importance in nine distinct categories ranging from expected close margin games to how they perform in games with equivalent talent profiles."

At almost 6'8, the plan may be to convert

him to a OT since we whiffed on a few.

Granted, he'd need to add 40-60 lbs but that height is pretty tall for a DE.

Gonna be at least 2 yrs before this kid even sees the field, he's extremely raw. I thought Solomon Williams tape looked really good looked like a shaq Lawson clone wonder why we didn't go after him harder

So to me the question would be did we tamper with him and use NIL to lure him away? Isn’t that always what we say when guys go this route to an SEC school? Either way the juice doesn’t seem worth the squeeze on this guy.

Doesn't look like Clemson will finish in the top 10 in recruiting for '24 unless Matthews signs.

It’s difficult to finish in the top 10 when the class size is 18 or less.
