Needed Improvement

It is only year one of the Bakich era but we still have glaring issues with pitcher development and poor base running. I am hopeful that he can make the necessary adjustments , but thought we would be better in these areas. Long season ahead to show growth.

It's his second week on the job. Let's be patient. Maybe it's just me but I am happy to see the approaches at the plate. This team is seeing the ball well and putting it in play. Pitching will sort itself out with some changes. It might be a couple of weeks yet before we see the "real" weekend starters.

I agree 100% that the approach at the plate from the players is much improved. I will also be patient and let him have time to make adjustments to find who the best pitchers are. Real game footage can show more than scrimmages and practice. Nevertheless, pitcher development has been a major issue for several seasons. I believe he will help in this area with time. The waiting just stinks.

He’s 7 games in. It will absolutely take time, sometimes it doesn’t with new coaches, but who knows because again it’s 7 games in.

Plus, with Monte Lee the team usually did extremely well in the first half of the season, but then something always happened and we started losing and not being clutch.

You know what I think ,I think Jack Legget got money Lee fired and I think as usual we’re going to go to small ball and lose and we are already losing so I am hopeful that this will improve but when I found out that French and a couple of our top players went with Monty back to South Carolina…I am not looking forward to this weekend… so again thank you Jack ,who has number seven tattooed in his hat because he can’t wear a uniform.

Jack did. Get Monte fired, that's a fact! Jack got a revolt going with past players and blindsided Monte. Not saying he wasn't on the fence after the UNC game, but Leggett out the knife in the back. Question is going to be did we improve with EB or should have we got Godwin or a more proven SE coach
