Hawks nest near banner elk is a good place. I’ve been there’s before I enjoyed it.

Stepdaughter says they went to a place near Hendersonville called Moonshine Mountain- sounds like your kind of place!
But I would research before going.

Beech mountain would be a good place to start. My kids loved tubing there.

Jonas Ridge is a small fun place without the crowds of some of the larger places. Agree with other post that Hawks Nest also a good choice - bigger and a bit nicer maybe but also more crowded.

back in the day and we ended up in great places just by asking on the way. Trip cost 200 woth gas and spent 2 days. Had a blast!! We didn't drink or do crack either. I hope yall have fun my friend! MFOjr will never forget!

to Beech Mountain and to Sugar Mountain. Both were enjoyable but we liked Beech Mtn better.
