way for that to happen. LSU and tOSU both have to lose. And even then it wouldn't surprise me if they jumped 1-loss $EC champ UGA over us for the #1 seed.

Need LSU to stay one. Ohio State 2, Clemson 3, want Georgia or Bama 4 so they’ll choose Fiesta and we can play Ohio state in the Peach

I think they are pretty clearly better than LSU, Georgia, Oregon, or whoever else may make the playoff.

The sites are chosen to protect both the #1 and #2 teams. If LSU stays 1, UGA is out. They would put Bama and LSU in Atl, and us/OSU in Fiesta (much greater home field advantage for us in Atl than Bama).
If it ends up being Oregon/Utah at #4 over Bama, it would likely be the same result.
Where it gets a little interesting is if OSU were to win out in dominant fashion and jump LSU for #1 (Assuming Oregon/Utah at #4). I can't imagine they would send us and LSU to the Fiesta, but that would make the most sense to protect both #1 and #2.
All in all, if chalk holds, I don't see us ending up in Atl.

Is hoping OHST jumps to #1 w UGA being #4. At that point Bucknuts will not doubt pick Phoenix.
With all that said, I don’t see Bucknuts jumping LSU unless Tigers lose to Ugay in SECCG.
We are most likely headed out to Phoenix.

Rank the top 25 teams and assign the top four to semifinal sites.
Assign teams to New Year’s Six bowls.
Create competitive matchups.
Attempt to avoid rematches of regular-season games and repeat appearances in specific bowls.
Consider geography.
The Committee assigns the semifinal sites. I believe the top school can provide input if they want or don't want a particular site, but it's ultimately up to the committee.

LSU will be placed in Atlanta if they are one. OSU likely would be in Arizona if they finish one.

Have you considered that if Georgia finishes the season with only the 1 loss and LSU finish the season undefeated, then Georgia wins the SECCG, what is going to happen to the loser? Both a 1 -loss LSU, and a 1- loss UGA will trump any other 1- loss team.
The only way to ensure only one SEC getting in is for Auburn to beat Alabama, and LSU to beat Georgia in the SECCG.

I am fine with that scenario. UGA beats LSU in CG.
1. OSU vs 4. LSU in Fiesta
2/3 Clemson Vs Georgia in ATL!
That would be Epic. And not scared of UGA at all. Plus OSU would kill LSU.
