Heard it was because he wanted to play SS and of course Ciufo is back. I saw someone post about Orfi, the Juco guy, and I don't think that is an option right now. Gaffney is going to learn to play third, and I think we're gonna have some good news on some arms soon.

I don’t think people are knocking on the doors for him to be honest. He would still be a starter on a top 10 team if he wants to play the field and be an everyday starter he would probably have to transfer down. He’s also a local kid so hopefully he would. I’m sure there would be some platooning around between first base catcher and DH to where he would find a spot in the outfield some days

It’s more about getting Dane Moehler to campus. Brendon Bennett is a lefty that throws low to mid 90’s already. We have great arms coming in. We reallly only need 2/3 arms out the portal

He’s already on campus and started classes yesterday.

You guys don't seem to be as excited as I am about Wilkie and to a lesser extent Bell. Just curious why y'all feel that way.
Although I think we could develop Bell in other positions.
Personal preference, just like Wilkie because he seems to have a good grasp on 3 pitches already. Kinda like knaak.

Oh no! Bell is the best of all of them. Wilkie is really good too. So is Cannon Feazall. I was just mentioning Moehler since he was invited to the draft combine.

Well, I care. He seemed to really love Clemson and from everything I hear, he was well liked in the dugout and is high character.
I don't like losing anyone. I refuse to trash a kid for being a midweek starter or anything else. Unless you can convince me that I've been mislead, then yes, it's disappointing.

I said nothing about his love for Clemson. Nor anything about him personally.
The obvious fact of the matter is that we need better pitching.
I feel that coaches made it clear that they’d be bringing in transfer arms. And obviously we’ve seen them start coming.
I don’t see how just retaining this whole pitching staff would’ve helped for anything. Especially a guy that did not perform well enough against superior teams.

After getting the 2 big bats, we def need to focus on pitching! And hopefully the draft goes our way for once and we don't lose our top recruits. Maybe they'll miss out on those first 2 rounds
