Not impressed with current Big 12 but could live with this

Trading Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A&M and Missouri for West Virginia and TCU was a big shot in the gut. The Big 12 isn't the same. Adding FSU and Clemson would help, but this is what would convince me:

The Big 18 Conference

Western Division

Texas
Texas Tech
Texas Christian
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa State

Eastern Division

Miami
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Clemson
Virginia Tech
West Virginia
Louisville
Pittsburgh
Maryland

Everyone plays everyone in their division and one rotating cross division game. Still have 9 conference games. In basketball, play everyone in your division twice and four teams from other division. Top 6 from each division go to tournament, top 2 get 1st round bye. In baseball, play a 3 game series everyone in your division and a 2 game series with four teams from other division. Top 6 teams from your division go to tournament, top 2 get 1st round bye.

happen. The model is for four 16-team conferences. We've known this for two years now.
