First game day in years and first for my 10 year old son!

Headed into town this weekend for my first home game since 2019, and bringing my 10 year old son to his first game. We're staying on the lake over toward Seneca - where should we be trying to park, how early do we need to get there, etc? Plan to get to campus on the earlier side to tailgate, but also trying to balance the desire to be there all day with the 10 year old at a night game.
Any advice is appreciated. Go Tigers!

My daughter, son-in-law and another couple came in town for the Duke game with tickets but no parking pass. They parked at Seneca Creek Meadows (old YMCA) and took the shuttle without any problems.

this sounds fun, man. I hope yall have a great time.
I just took my 13 year old son to his second Clemson game as a birthday present (we live far away and can't come to every game). He had been to his first when he was 10, and this year was his second. We also stayed on the Seneca side - and that was a great decision b/c the traffic is better on that side!
Our game was at 3:30 (SMU), and we drove in to campus at around 9:30 after having gotten breakfast. That was MORE than enough time. You can obviously adjust for the 7 o'clock kick.
We got to walk around campus, go to the marching band concert at the amphitheater 90 minutes before kickoff (which is the case regardless of kick time), and I highly recommend that! We also had time to eat, go through the shops downtown, and just meander around campus. After the amphitheater concert, the band, cheerleaders, flag corps, and mascots walk directly down to the stadium., and people tag along and get their pictures made with the Tiger and Cub. That was great fun and my son got his picture with both.
Here's where we parked - and this was GREAT for coming from the Seneca side. Clemson has a list of private property owners who rent out spots in their yards on the north side of Hwy 93 behind all the apartments. This is very close to the stadium and convenient if you're coming from Seneca since it's on the far west side of campus. Here's the link to the list (https://clemsontigers.com/football-single-game-parking-options-2025/). You have to contact each individually for details, but we parked at the last one listed (224 N Clemson Ave). I paid her via venmo weeks before parking. I paid $60, which is a great deal given the close proximity to DV. I do know from emailing w/ several of those places listed that they fluctuate their prices based on demand, and some of them emailed me as the date got closer and lowered the price. Demand might be lower now b/c of how the season is going.
Have a great time. Don't let the way the season is going get in the way of the experience. My son and I had a great time even though we lost to SMU. Enjoy yourselves!

Much appreciated! Will check out the options listed there. We're also far away so cant get to games often, but hopefully this is the first of many for us!

if you're not wanting to be on campus all day, while I can't give you an exact time, I'd estimate you could probably show up on campus maybe 3 hours before game time and still be fine if you end up parking somewhere on the west side of campus and don't have drive deep into campus to find parking. Either park at the free Seneca lot, or do what we did with the private lots.
Like I said, we were there 6 hours before gametime and had well more than enough time. Everything hinges on not having to drive far into campus for parkingl

My rule of thumb is to get into our parking space 5 hours prior to kickoff and

you'll never get stuck in traffic regardless of the game start time. We also get there early because we run a big tailgate with lots of folks coming through (at least 60+ this past weekend).
The good thing about a night game is that people filter in throughout the day and there's never really a backlog of traffic like the noon kickoffs. I've known folks who pull in less than an hour before a night game kickoff having had no issues with traffic...
