- 29 games over .500 all-time. (Clemson is 230ish games over.) - 6-12 in bowl games. Even the beloved Slurrier is 3-4. - A losing record against its biggest rival, in the SEC, and the ACC. - 21 head coaches have losing records. - One conference title (1969). - Division title (2010). - Only 8 times have they finished ranked in the top 25. (Clemson has 27.) - One undefeated season...in 1907. The Gamecocks went 3-0 that season, defeating College of Charleston, The Citadel, and the Georgia Medical College. - By contrast, the "Fighting" Gamecocks have finished with zero or one win 12 times. - The crown jewels of South Carolina's best five year period (2008-2012) include one division title, going 2-3 in bowl games, and beating Clemson four years in a row.
- Speaking of beating Clemson four years in a row, South Carolina had accomplished this feat one other time. Clemson has 8 four game win streaks against South Carolina including a seven gamer from 1934-1940.
