My new letter to Rad Dan

Deer Rad Dan,
After much thought, and after even more heartache and despair, I have finally decided to formally call for Jack Leggett to be fired. It is clear that the man just doesn't want us to win.
Did you even SEE the game today? Or yesterday? Did you see how many routine ground balls Jack misplayed in the infield as well as the outfield? Did you see Jack's wild pitches? Or how about the time Jack dropped the throw that would have nailed that dirty coot at home? And let's not forget all of the strikeouts and p!ss poor at-bats he had this series.
Need some stats to validate my point? Well here they are: In this series sweep by the coots, Jack struck-out 25 times. If that wasn't bad enough, he also committed 10 errors. And against the coots too....it's not like they are one of the better teams in college baseball either.
Yep, it's become quite clear that Jack just doesn't want to win. There's no other explanation. Actually, the more I think about it, there is. He WANTS us to lose. That's right....after all this time, I have just realized that Jack is actually a coot in disguise! This has been his agenda all along...a dozen or so 40 win seasons, a couple conference championships here and there, fielding a consistently ranked team......all of it is just a ploy to knock us down after getting our hopes up so high.
Well sorry Jack, but the cat's out of the bag. Rad Dan, I hope you see what I now see, and what all of the experts on Tigernet have been saying since day 1. Jack has got to go. I hope you take action immediately. There are several T-netters who could fill the manager void.
Cheers,
CU2013
P.S- If Coach Swinney doesn't deliver a national title next season, I am in favor of benching him and letting Donny McElveen take over as starting QB. Dabo just isn't getting the job done either

After reading that horse or maybe chicken chit. He is in need of a job. I'm sure he lost his last managers job b/c he blamed the people he managed over his inadequate ability to lead his team successfully. In his own defense he stated, I'm just the manager, its not my fault they failed doing the same thing three days in a row, and they have been shaky doing the same thing prior to this major collapse. And I just can't get it corrected, so its not my fault.

Let me say that I too am in favor of a change with the baseball program. I think a new manager would inject some new life into the program and could bring us on the upswing.
I was just trying to be funny and make light of the situation. I think its time for Jack to go as well, but after all, he isn't the one making the mistakes on the diamond.

You are correct Jack did not do squat. He did not pull

Gossett when he could not get the ball over the dish. He did not sit a player or pinch hit for him in the ninth with a .077 average. He did not go to the bullpen and bring out Campbell or Andrews. He left a roster of great talent on the bench when we needed it the most. But MOST of all he acts like he does not care if we win or lose. Talent wise we are player for player every bit as good as any body in the country. But I would trade Jack for a Dixie youth league baseball coach. He can sit and watch the game with us in the stands and have as much affect on the game as he did this weekend. I went to every stinking game this weekend and not only had to sit with loud mouth Dirtpeckers in Cootlumbia but right beside me in seats that he have sat in the at 11 years at DKS. So you are correct Jack did not do JACK this weekend.

But it is Jack's, and his assistants job to get mistakes corrected. And its not the players fault when Jack himself makes poor decisions, or when he doesn't recognize when a pitcher is done. Those faults are all on the coaching staff.

Should you seriously write him (which you should) then make sure you tell him that our baseball program is broke and needs some new life blood at HC.

Why even have a head coach-they are not responsible for wins and losses in your universe. I guess Vince Lombardi had nothing to do with those great Packer teams-get real.

Jack recruited these players. Jack coaches these players. Bottom line, Jack is responsible for everything that goes on with the baseball team. Therefore, it's ALL on him!

should he not be held accountable for their play?
I bet you were quick to blame Bowden in 2005 at GT when Dabo's WR dropped 17 passes and we had to settle for 3 FG in a 10-9 loss, weren't you?

Clemson winning close to (but less than) 40 games every year, and then losing in the first round of the NCAAs is like our football team winning 7 games and then losing to South Florida in the Meinke Bowl.
We used to be better than that. We need to be better than that AGAIN. With Jack Leggett still there we won't be any better next year, or the year after, or the year after....

coach has nothing to do with the who the players or how they play. In fact, fire him and don't even hire a coach. Who needs one? What a waste of money.
