$25, always tip $5. That's because I can pick up the phone anytime I need a haircut and the girl at the shop will find a way to work me in to her schedule.

I had to get a car towed (thanks to AAA no cost to me), so I was tipping the guy and he said he was the owner so I did not need to tip - I told him he came in less than 30 minutes and got the car to where I needed it (f'ing mechanic who messed up putting a new belt on) quickly, I am tipping him. He thanked me.

They can eat that inflation.
They ask for tips just about everywhere now though. So easy for them to just stick that card reader in your face that asks for them. Usually I'm a decent tipper, 20% on meals. Went to a restaurant in Hilton Head the other week while on vacation and they have those preset % amounts for you to choose from. The lowest was 20%. Service was meh.

I'm talking about hair cutting talent, not looks. None of them have that talent. If you find a good one, it's sweet and you can go anytime and check in online so you don't have to wait like all the old people do. I made one old man irate one time cause I walked in and was next and he'd been waiting for 5ever.

probably can count on one hand the number of "good" haircuts I've received. I don't recall any hotties and nothing even remotely hot ever working there. Not even a "well after about 10 beers and a it's late at night and I don't tell anyone" type.
It's gone up to $22 and I give them $5 every time.
I'll continue to go back for whatever reason (nostalgia) They don't even accept credit cards.

went to a "salon" at some point last year figuring it couldn't be that much more for a real hair cut and some eye candy.
The cut was about $15 more and the quality wasn't noticeable. The stylist has a catfish pic of herself on the website and wasn't remotely close to what was advertised.
Can someone just go ahead and create the Hooter's of men's barber shops?

because I make them earn their money with my wild mane. I always liked long hair.
At the moment, I could fit in well with the Phillies. Not Brandon Marsh nasty long, more Bryce Harper right now. Like him, I'm pretty much needing a hat or bandanna to daily deal with it.

If I go to a fancy place that serves me drinks or massages my shoulders, then I tip 20%.
If I go to cheapo haircut and they do a good job, then 50%.
If I go to the barber in the hood, then also 50% (assuming they're not blatantly talking about me being the only white dude in the joint).

I've been going to them for almost as long as I've been living in the area. $10 tip for the new guy because he stinks like cigarettes.
It's a small, locally owned barber shop. Real barbers' shop, not hair dressers in a shop with "barber" in the name (and not a "Cuts" place). I don't mind the price.
