Ngata is penciled in as the starter from day one and seems to really be excited about Cade. No idea what he would gain by going into the portal. As for a young DL, who is coming back that was not expected? TD? Ruke? Both?

Been talk that TD, Ruke and KJ might all come back. And it has been widely speculated that XT will come back so that may not be unexpected now but probably would have been at the beginning of the season.
I am only speculating about Ngata based on his body language in some games this year, including the Orange Bowl.

If you want Clemson to be more successful with acquiring portal players, start by identifying the businesses which offer NIL deals to our FB players.
Then, spend lavish amounts of money on those businesses and thank the owners of those businesses for their NIL deals with Clemson FB players.
Next, get your family and relatives to do the same.
Finally, get your friends to do the same.
If, on the other hand, you don’t want to spend lavish amounts of your own money to support the businesses that offer NIL deals to Clemson athletes, then shut up.

each been getting 20 carries per game! How many did Mafah average? 7 or 8? Heck, it wouldn't even shock me if it was Shipley! You could tell he wasn't happy with how few carries he got against Usuc, and first half against Tennessee!

In the Orange Bowl - I think on the highest # of snaps he has. IMO - he and Davis were our best 2 DTs this year - didn’t see the field enough but should double his snaps this year if not more

Try watching Clemson FB before making stupid comments about a player’s playing time.
P.Page has been among the first DTs to rotate in outside of our 3 co-starters B.Bresee, T.Davis, and Ruke.
Furthermore, Clemson S&C has gotten P.Page down from ~ 390 to ~ 330 between 2021 to 2022.

He's a day one starter. With a QB that can get it to him. Why does this thread keep bringing up the names of starters? Makes little sense to me. As for Mafah, he is basically a co starter and one twisted ankle away from carrying it 20 times per game. My bet is nobody is leaving other than someone buried on the depth chart.

Collins…I’m good with that. Mafah would be hard to swallow. I wish he started at RB and work Ship into some other spots on offense. Problem being Ship struggles at times with catching the ball. Both on the field at the same time would be very helpful imo.

That we should have run the ball more. Mafah not getting more carries in the OB was negligent.
I keep saying….#1 issue in this program is roster management. We are making changes….but are behind the curve now….
