Generational Legacy - Proud Grandpa

Attached is a picture of by brother-in-law and his grandson from 18 years ago. His grandson was just accepted at Clemson this year, 56 years after his grandfather was accepted to Clemson!

One proud grandpa!

He took me to my first Clemson game in 1971.

Sadly, he didn't live to see my acceptance in 1980 or my graduation. However, my grandmother, gave me his Clemson ring as a graduation gift. After he passed, everyone in the family wanted that ring and my grandmother told them she wasn't sure where it ended-up and that she would have to try to find it. When I unwrapped it, I was completely stunned. She smiled at me with tears in her eyes and told me, "He would have wanted a Clemson man to have it.". I cried like a baby and I'm about to cry now just thinking about it. It was and remains the single greatest gift that I have ever received.
