I was at that game. A very one dimensional offense. Had a good defense with Anthony Simmons,Trevor Pryce and Dexter McCleon. Also, Emmitt Smith's brother was the fullback.

Even back then, he knew all he had to do was wrap up and bring a guy to the ground to get a tackle.

My buddy and I were there

Took his seven-year-old daughter. We were so fortunate to have seats in the LSU student section. Besides Georgia, I haven't seen "fans" act any worse. A child there and still cursing at us.
In the middle of the game, however, my friend's daughter asked me, "Why are they shouting 'Tie my Shoe'?," which was her interpretation of their yelling "L-S-U."
Several turned around and demanded to know what she said. I tried to play it off, she doesn't know, etc. Then another said, "She was saying, 'Tie my Shoe!'"
Long story short, rather than WWIII breaking out, the crazy LSU student section picked up the chant: C'mon everybody! "TIE MY SHOE! TIE MY SHOE! TIE MY SHOE! TIE MY SHOE!"
Halftime at the refreshment stand, we ran across the shirtless, entire body painted LSU guy who looked like he stepped out of the Middle Ages. Yep, daughter wants to take a picture with Mr. I'll Chew You up for looking at me. Oddest thing. When I asked him, expecting an "are you crazy?" response, he instantly changed into the nicest gentleman and said he would be proud to have a picture taken with this lovely child.
Mr. LSU, if you ever read this we certainly appreciate the gesture.
Memories of that game.
