My biggest selling point to Mark Fields would be

Mike Reid! Do you want a guy with Tons of experience here and at the NFL level, who's coached the likes of Dawkins, Sheldon Brown, etc, or a guy that has spent two years at Southern Miss and 3 with a bad Carolina Secondary? Even in good years, their secondary has been viewed as their achilles heel. Mike Reid is a stud coach, our secondary is #2 in the nation in pass yards given up! Plus Alexander may go pro after next year. I would want to play for Reid if I were a DB!

Our "no fly zone" has been as advertised this year. I know Fields thought SC was the "big boy ish" but he knows better now. There's nothing "big boy" about 6-6 and a coach saying he's leaving in 2 years.

and the defensive staff is stacked & can run out the #1 D in the land as a resume builder. all great reasons to get on board if you're a recruit on the D side of the ball.

Who coaches USuCs DBs? From what I saw of them this year , they are great at chasing people into end zones. If that is an NFL benchmark , then by all means the Coots are in a food spot with their skill level at the DB positions.

And the likes of 5-star (& UGA's rated DB signed in the last 6 yrs) Branden Smith and Vic (bouncing early for the draft) aren't on an NFL roster right now, probz makin min wage somewhere.
