Our defensive line and linebacker play should certainly take a little pressure off of the safety positions , shouldn't it ? Injuries must be avoided , check .

I agree about the front seven. I think a big reason our secondary was so good last year was because of all the pressure the Dline and backers put on the qb. Should be more of the same this year.

Dexter Lawrence could fill in on running downs, Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence could help on passing downs, their height should be an advantage. Imagine running a crossing route or a WR screen and looking up at Dexter running full speed at you lol ??

I didn't know Muse had been in Dabo's doghouse.

Muse's biggest issue has not been injury. It's been being out of position and not covering well. That's why he's been in the doghouse. He can run and he can hit. But he is not very good at coverage. Should be an LB.

Tanner also took some dumb penalties and gave that slash sign across the throat after the scoop and score against Syrexcuse. Not schmart. Physically gifted, but the brains need to match the braun.

I'm really hoping Denzel will step up this year. Always thought he'd be a force at some point. Also if LeAnthony can get some snaps at backup corner then Mullen could play safety if he really had too. But I think you'll see some freshman that have to step up at some point this year.

Muse is the only one that worries me...

He made some really bad plays last season, but I trust that Coach Reed has coached him up since them. K'Von is a playmaker, and could be the most valuable player in our secondary this season (either him and Trayvon).

Wonder if they're going look at Powell again at Safety. Really do think it would void well for him, and the team.

I agree. By far safety is the biggest concern on the team in my opinion. We have zero depth there.

As thin as we are in so many positions, how are we ranked in the top 5 in pre-season polls?? I don't get it. I would say that we are in a re-building mode, unless we decide to play our best QB. What do I know??
