I don't recall those people. A couple things.. Has the Portal been around for 6 years? Secondly, they usually said they believed in Dabo's system and that we would survive without it, but that we would revisit it, and that Dabo would figure out. I don't think anyone will be hating on landing someone from the Portal.

The board hasn't changed much. Those who weren't freaking out about us not using the Portal are happy that we are using it. They were just never freaking out or thinking the sky was definitely falling. It seems like those who were freaking out about the Portal are still freaking out. It hasn't changed much.

Things were changing and we were adapting as we could and what he saw fit. You think he killed our program. I don't see it that way. I think the situations changed and he has done well under the circumstances. So far I don't like our DC and generally don't like our OC. They are paid well, but are just okay. Let's see how our 2026 class goes and see where we stand when it is all said and done. We are still in the process of knowing where we are and where we will be as a program in my opinion.

Of course he didn’t kill the program. But he did kill what he created. He had HUGE momentum. We were on top of college football. But he got fat and happy and started making poor decisions. He hired several coaches that were not qualified and failed. He failed to keep up with the changing landscape of recruiting. He started recruiting outside of the local demographic which failed. I think he is finally realizing that and now he has to scramble. I hope he can put his ego aside and get it done. I’m pulling for him

And Dabo’s ego of hiring unqualified coaches and being stubborn with recruiting killed that. Playoffs used to be 4 teams, now top 12.
Keep moving the goalposts and spinning the bs. The program has declined the last 5 years due to poor choices by Dabo. Considering those mistakes he has still remained in the top 20 which is amazing.

I'm a portal hater for sure in the NIL era - unless it's for a senior with 1 year of eligibility.
With that said, Dabo is the best coach we could ask for and he'll do what he needs to do. Not going to hate on him for it.

I think just about everyone supported getting a players from the Portal if we did, or the vast majority did. They just didn't see it as the end if we didn't.
