MP ... Your post regarding a 7-5 team for the next few years is probably incorrect, but certainly is w/o context.

My first year at CU saw Jimmy (The Needle) Addison, Buddy Gore and then Charlie Waters on the field. One game in particular stands out: Bama was in town, ranked #1, and beat CU 13-10 ... sadly, with CU missing three FG's inside the 30. After the game, Bear Bryant said that if he had CU's team, it would be ranked #1. So,
7-3 seasons were the norm, and maybe ... maybe there was a bowl game.

This pretty much continued until Danny Ford came along and delivered a national title. This raised expectations, but Danny couldn't buck the administration and was ... uh ... departed.

Subsequently, other "name" coaches tried, but 7-3, 7-4, and maybe a 9-3 was as good as it got. A decent bowl game every now and then was a plus.

Then, enter Dabo Swinney, a D- hire according to some. The best thing Tommy Bowden ever did was recommend Dabo. And although he didn't "win" right away, you could tell the culture and trajectory were solid. Just think about the number of years we were in the playoffs, and won the Natty in 2016 and 2018. Sweeny raised expectations, but because the scouts missed on DJU, and maybe Klubnik ... not because he was solely to blame the past two years ... Dabo has become a victim of his success and the expectations he increased.

Although I admittedly don't follow CU football much anymore, since my wish of a second Natty was delivered in 2016, and now NIL has turned college sports into a professional league, I would just throw out a caution to those like MorrisPickens, assuming he's not a troll, that you really can't fully appreciate what you have until you don't have it any more.

Go Dabo!

Don't waste your time and energy on that COOT.

It wasn't a waste of time. It was a catharsis ... and a message to others like him who aren't coots.

Dabo has had only one terrible season since he was hired as the HC of Clemson FB. Your statement of, (although he didn't "win" right away) is confusing for me bc, he was hired in 2009 and he went 9-5, and then 2010 was his only terrible season since he has been the Clemson head football coach.

2009 season, https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/228/season/2009

2010 season, https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/228/season/2010

One really bad season since he's been our FB HC, and every season can be seen right here,
