To be clear there was only 1 quote from the high school coach and I thought it was clearly made from someone who doesn't pay much attention to Clemson.
His suggestion to put in 2 TEs and run the ball with DJ until the defense puts Ross or Ngata in a 1 on 1 situation was a very high school way of thinking.
He also clearly doesn't know Clemson's TE situation or that DJ as a runner is not what you want to center an offensive gameplan around.
I thought the former player bounced back and forth between giving some good insight as a former player and at times sounding like a frustrated fan (because that's basically what former players become the longer they aren't in the meeting rooms).
It was clear the former college coach has a much better understanding that Clemson's issues are complex and sometimes you can't make a player play at a high enough level before they are ready.
My example of this would be Ajou and his blocking. He clearly can't read defenses to know who to block but Clemson is so thin at WR that he has to be on the field anyway and the coaches have to hope that he learned enough since his last chance to make the play next time they need it.
The former player touched on the complexity as well when discussing that he is seeing that it's a different player making a mistake each time and not as simple as replacing the one guy who is messing up every busted play.
To be clear, I thought the high school coach was a completely wasted portion of the article. The rest has it's positive points.

Seems like the HS coach was the only one with anything to offer. The others just asked a bunch of questions that all of us are asking. The "smart" coach only offered time as a solution. So he basically had nothing to say beyond just waiting for it to get better.
As for two TE's, the guy isn't talking about TE's to catch passes. He's just talking about extra blockers. Clemson certainly has guys who can block as well as average tight ends.

First off, you are discrediting the only person interviewed who can likely relate to the current situation in saying that he had nothing to offer.
You liked what the high school coach said, so nevermind that he is the least qualified to give advice out of the 3 chosen.
Also the college coach wasn't saying to sit and wait. He was saying that sometimes you work and work and try everything under the sun but the players won't get it until they do. For various reasons, but a large part of the time it's due to inexperience.
Keep in mind, the person you are giving credit to is the only person trying to talk to Clemson's coaches about how to fix a team he isn't familiar with.
The former player and college coach appear to be talking to fans about what should be expected and giving a little insight into what may be happening behind the scenes.
You clearly aren't familiar with the blocking abilities of Clemson's TEs. Outside of Allen, I would count on the rest of them much more to catch the ball rather than to block for a play the defense knows is a run.

Please go back and watch the final TD for Clemson at Pitt. TE 9 laid out DE and LB on that play. There are TE who can block but they are not playing much. TE 84 is also a good blocker.

As I stated, the problem isn't if they can make a good block.
Their problem would be blocking when the defense knows it's a run play.
TE 9 as you call him is a true freshman that weighs 215 pounds. He is a receiver that they expect to grow into a TE. His name is Jake Briningstool.
I mentioned TE 84 as you call him whose name is Davis Allen. Yes I know he can block well, but the high school coach suggested TWO TEs in the formation.
Clemson's other healthy options at TE include:
TE 85 (aka Jaelyn Lay) who is plenty big but hasn't shown the ability to use his size to block for some reason.
TE 87 (aka Sage Ennis) who is 235 lbs and is a redshirt freshmen thought of as a good receiving TE.
The rest of the options are walkons.
Calling guys by their numbers reflects a lack of familiarity with the players you are talking about.
I'm starting to think maybe you are the high school coach who is coming to TNET to defend your quote.

My apologies then. I may have transferred the tone of the Furmanoid post to your post.
It was a very nice block, but he is not a guy Clemson can rely on to do that consistently when the opponent is looking for a run.
Not sure if you read the article, but the high school coach quoted gave a very elementary suggestion for how he would fix Clemson's offensive struggles. It had high school football written all over it and would not work well for most any team in college, much less with Clemson's current personnel options.

I did read the article and by and large agree with your conclusions. My thoughts on 2 TE is not just for blocking but to give an option to block or fake a block and play for five or ten yards over the middle. Just having the 2 TE end set would have to make the defense play honest and could open deeper routes. The team just seems to lack a true identity. Cannot run, pass, block, or catch. It is a puzzle. No apologies needed but thanks.

I'm giving my opinion on their opinions mostly.
As with most of my posts, they are worth less than what I pay for the internet service to allow me to post them.
I did mention a few things I see from Clemson's players, but none are suggestions of how to fix any of the problems.
Honestly I think the coaches are doing a pretty good job of fixing most of the problems that have a chance to be fixed during the season.
Running out of depth of clearly not a problem that can be fixed mid-year.
The dropped passes may be the only thing the Clemson coaches are looking for suggestions on how to fix because I'm sure at this point all ideas have been used and most probably used more than once. It's completely inexplicable to have this many easy passes dropped by so many different players.

Hence my comments on there being no other options because of injuries.
I would imagine we will see less Ajou this Saturday with the return of Ngata and hopefully Williams.
That is unless someone else gets injured.
At this point though, we only have our starters and 1 backup at each spot.
Last week without Ngata and Williams we had roughly 5 recruited WRs healthy to play and one of those is Stellato who the coaches are still holding for a redshirt. He only traveled for emergency injury purposes it seems.
Like I said, Ajou wasn't starting because he is ready. The coaches didn't have a choice.

Just cannot at this point understand not letting Stellato get some reps in the slot. Will looked good on that 12 yrd catch too. But never went back to him.
Stellato is either going to be really good, in which case he'll only be here 4 years, or a bust and will Taylor surpasses him next year. Which, if it's the later, Stellato will transfer in 2 years.
So, imo, rs for other than interior (TE, OL, DL) is a thing of the past for cfb.
As for the article, the college coach regurgitated what Dabo's been telling us, why these guys can't take it from practice to gameday. Continuity and trust in each other.

but it's basically what I've been saying for weeks. It's about personnel, either through under performance, injury, inexperience, whatever. The short term fix is get better at the basics. The long term fix is personnel gaining experience, healing, performing as they are capable, and I believe an adjustment in recruiting.

There are no "general' solutions to fix the offense... at some point the cog and the wheel are going to get in sync and the offense is going to get better... we keep losing cogs though so that makes it harder ...
If you look at them play by play (which takes time) you can see that its never just one specific guy... but there almost always one guy...
if you were to put the breakdowns in classes:
WR blocking
WR/TE/RB catching
O-line blocking
QB decisions
QB throws
WR-QB in sync
RB blocking
Some trends:
DJ is not as mobile as thought from last year, he's got concrete shoes this year
DJ does not appear to make the right read alot of times on the RPO's, he needs to pull the ball enough times to make the defense honest
Younger receivers do not block very well, especially on the bubble screens
Shipley is 1/2 step away from several very long gains
Receivers are not explosive, they do not get separation
Receivers are not aggressive going for the ball
O-line zone blocking missing someone in 5 on 4 or 5 on 5
Plays, we leave the middle of the field empty on most pass plays
There is more, this off the top of my head...
