He did beat UF/UGA and UT ...unfortunately there were the everpresent cockflops against Vandy and Kentucky that lead to mid-tier bowls and no championships .

After the game, USC play-by-play announcer Todd Ellis said, “as Coach Spurrier says, we may not be LSU or Alabama, but we ain’t Clemson folks.”
The quote made the rounds, with some attributing it directly to Spurrier. The Gamecock Football Twitter account tweeted on Thursday night in response to Swinney’s comments that “Coach Spurrier often points out that our team isn’t LSU and Alabama, (one of the elites in the country). He didn’t make the comment about Clemson.”

I was listening when Toddy Boy said that..he point blank said Spurrier told him that. Spurrier wanted to deny it and Toddy came out of SOS's butt for a few minutes and took responsibility for it. Both are liars
