Been following his analysis of re-alignment for awhile. His intel is from Big10 side of things. I like the business analysis he does showing why FSU and Clemson are revenue additive for the Big10. It’s solid analysis, but we should also understand many of these decisions by the big shots in charge also involve egos and personal agendas. All too often that’s why we see so many stupid business decisions involving billions of dollars. The former Big10 Commish had a different vision than the new commissioner (ie NFL conference model and seeing SEC as an adversary). Now the two conferences are working together to fortify two power conferences standing well above the other D1 conferences.

I have no idea where Clemson will end up, except it will be in the P2. I suspect tht if Fox wants the Tigers in the B1G more than ESPN wants the Tigers in the SEC that is where they will end up. If EXPN wants them more, then it will be in the SEC.

I have heard through other readings that the Clemson admin is in favor of the Big10 due to the halo affect for research/academic growth. However, the view from the coaches of several sports is not 100% aligned with that vision. Baseball and softball might be obvious examples. However, I think we know if the administration cares to listen and take guidance from the coaches then Dabo is likely the lone coach sitting at the conference room table.
