There were a couple of additional errors that I noticed.
It irks me that as an official media reporting pool for the University it can make it appear that we are a bunch of simpletons.
It was a decent enough article, however proof reading must be a lost art. Please, please, please proof read and do it slowly. It (the article) doesn't have to be perfect, but these glaring errors are kind of a bummer.
Thanks - "Rant Off."

Almost as bad as the UK telegraph. I see errors all the time

I used to get all mad about them. They're so common now I just read through and ignore them. And this isn't just Tigernet. The State. USA Today. WIS. WYFF. Politico. The Hill. CNN. Only place I don't see many errors would be the NY Times.

Except for the Clemson Tiger football team. They do all the little things that make a champion.

I believe I may have spotted an error in your "rant" about proofreading. I assume you meant a "reportng tool" not a "reporting pool"

Nope. "Reporting pool" is the term for a group of reporters covering a similar subject. Those covering the White House are part of the Presidential Reporting Pool, for example. It's used akin to "a talent pool".

There were quite a few games TL would have been benched

at least midway in the 3rd QTR. if he had not been a freshman. To get all the reps he could was important to his development. I'd guess he will come out of those games next year and Brice & Co. will be able to get more time late in the games to increase their abilities.

He wouldn't have been benched, that implies pulling him in

favor of putting in another player due to ineffectiveness...I would think even a coach of YOUR standing would know that

the key is these guys believe they are good enough to not sit the bench. Only time will tell, but the kid KNOWS Dabo will start the best player, and that Dabo plays a lot of others too.

Can someone from the athletic dept PLEASE get Mom on an airplane ASAP and lets wrap this one up. Can you imagine what that would do for recruiting right now? Arguably the best quarterback in the nation, arguably the best running back in the nation, definitely the best WR corps in the nation and then we reload with the number one recruit in the country coming in. Maybe we could actually land some bigtime OLs with that reputation.

I think he is referencing our current team. Lawrence the #1 QB, ETN the #1 RB, and current WR core as the best in the nation.

Kind of funny in several of the photos, DJ is in the back and coach and dad look like they are main subject of the photo!

Simple math of recruitment
Jan 10, 2019, 5:44 PM
|
|
DJ will be an incoming freshman in TLaw junior season. TLaw enrolled early and will probably graduate early. DJ could come in, play 4 games, then redshirt, giving him 3 years after TLaw leaves. TLaw has a Natty, will probably add another or 2 before leaving, as well as a Heisman. He would have nothing else to prove and is already being projected to be top pick in draft when he does decide to enter draft. Think about it folks, it's perfect timing with DJ and TLaw, and Dabo knows

Honestly, part of what concerns me regarding DJ is the question of whether our dominant NC win actually makes it more or less likely for him to come here.
I wonder how that all plays out in the mind of a high school kid...as far as following Trevor Lawrence and his success to whatever level it reaches by the team DJ is gonna come out of school. As opposed to going somewhere else as the new TL type guy for some school that has been really good but not quite great like we were this year.
Among a lot of other considerations along those lines, comparing yourself to someone else that's at an undeniably high level already at the place you want to go and so on...
But hopefully he just keeps it simple and wants to come keep the train rolling and help turn us into a dynasty for decades.
