President Kamala Harris. I don't see Trump beating her. Haley could've. Desantis could've. A few others probably could've. But not Trump. Not with Vance. And not the way they're campaigning.
I gave it a few days to see how the Trump campaign would handle this and how Vance would conduct himself, and it's very disappointing. Same old adolescent insults and juvenile put-downs. I do think he would've picked a different VP had he known Biden was going to step down - good strategic move by the Dems. I was hoping the assassination attempt would humble Trump a little bit and encourage him to be more mature, more issues based, and less invested in personal attacks, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Instead, he seems to think now, more than ever, that he's God's anointed - as do many of his followers.
Trump can't beat her. Harris will have to lose on her own merits - making some seriously bad gaffes, some bad campaign moves, etc. But the independents that Trump needs to win, and that were reluctant to vote for Biden due to his age and condition, will, on the surface - which is how people vote - not see much to dislike about her, not enough to outweigh what they dislike about Trump.
The GOP could've had the first female president, had they used their brains and some rational sense, but nope. It's hard to pull people away from the cult.

Probably Vance, given Trump's and MAGA's distrust of Haley.

Vance has big incel energy. I can see him turning off a lot of female voters. Republicans need to stop with all the attacks on Kamala's laugh, her sexual history, and all that stuff about childless cat ladies. Just focus on the issues and her record in office.

November is a long way off. I'm not even convinced she will survive the convention as the nominee. Seems like they are using her as a trial balloon go guage the publics reaction, which hasn't so far been great.

Maybe but here’s my sincere question. How can the party of “everything is racist, everything is white supremacy, blah blah blah” skip her? Can you imagine after we’ve now seen democrats on tv crying in emotion over the possibility of the first black woman?

If Kamala’s poll numbers don’t improve considerably before mid-August, the Democrat party will drop her like a bad habit at the DNC convention starting Aug. 19 and will install Michelle Obama as their candidate.
All of this ‘but it will be too late, too difficult at this late stage for anybody but Kamala’ talk is just more psy-op stuff.
Same as with the recent psy-op ‘Biden is sharp and will be our nominee, no question’ talk.

I agree.
I have said all along that the GOP needed to have the guts to ban Trump and almost any on their bench could have won this election. Nikki, DeSantis, any of them.
As is, get ready for 4 more years of Wokeism and anti-business practices and taxes.

Post-campaign suspension was the least popular Kamala will ever be.
Trump is on the way down. Kamala is on the way up. If she makes a solid VP pick, and all the names floated so far are solid, it's not going to be as tight at the top of the ticket as people think (maybe not a landslide, but probably 4-5%), and it will be a GOP bloodbath down ticket. NC GOP is about to get flat embarrassed at all of the top statewide offices.

Nothing would be different from having Kamala
As soon as any Republican becomes a threat to the machine, they are the next Hitler. If Jesus himself ran as a Republican, all sh**libs and many milquetoast republicans would be parroting the same lines they are today. “If he would just tone it down” etc.

It's going to be awful. Her policies are so far left it's hard to even comprehend (judging by her commentary and voting history as a Senator, prior to VP tenure).
Blue Teamers will spin up the simulation, they have the entire media backing her, and Trump's a complete idiot. Zero shot at reducing my tax burden as a working class citizen.
The pendulum will keep swinging left. For those that thought Donnie Pump was bad....I'm very fearful of the potential energy building up in said pendulum for it to take off back right.
I'm still long chaos for this very reason. I mean, look at what's happened in the last 2 weeks. You don't think the simulation has something cooked up for us in the next, what, 100 days??
Positive about a blue team sweep is abortions should absolutely sky rocket, which pays well in the long-run.
And those of you who like war will get your fix.
Other than that, I don't see many positives.

I have a very difficult time seeing her lasting past the DNC. They can’t just look past the “black VP”. That would be racist.
I see Clinton being their candidate with a small chance of Mike Obama.

he's the only one who couldn't beat Trump. The abortion issue is too much to overcome.
Trump knew Biden would drop out - so I don't think that affected his VP selection. He just couldn't resist getting a full fledged Trumper.
Haley had a better chance, but look no further back than the 2022 mid-terms to see that the abortion issue is very tough to overcome.

You're welcome to your opinion, but most people don't agree with you. At the very least, they think that abortion is the lesser of 2 evils.
Do you think that children who are born to women who didn't want them are likely to have a happy childhood and be successful in life? Do you really think that every woman who has an abortion should be charged with murder?
