MD Foul mouthed drunks

Oct 26, 2013, 9:42 PM

My son and grandson went to the game and he said he had never seen so many foul mouthed drunks. As well as cans and bottles all over the ground. He took off all his flags and magnets and they still put their beer cans in the bed of his truck. I think he had a Clemson sticker on his glass. He has a Delaware tag on his truck. What a bunch of low class morons.

But not as bad as U$uC fans.

I have friends who live in Cootlumbia who won't put anything orange on their cars for fear of having the cars keyed.

This was all outside the stadium? Oh well, they lost.

By the way, do any ACC programs serve booze in their stadiums?

Miami maybe? It's a pro stadium, after all and a private

school. I'm pretty sure they served it at the old Orange Bowl Stadium.

I think on campus stadiums they can't, off campus they can

Don't quote me though.

That was my guess. Figure their might be a rule

that gets circumvented if they use a pro venue. Couldn't remember. For some reason I thought they served beer at Billy Brice when I was a kid, but I could be very wrong about that.

Yes it was outside the stadium but there were a lot of foul mouths in the stadium who were drunk. It was my 11 yr old grandsons first college game. Hopefully he knows how not to act in public based on the stellar example MD fans set.

There's something in these hills.

I didn't hear a thing from MD fans this time -

Oct 26, 2013, 9:53 PM

even before the game. In '09, I caught heck, but that was after we lost. In '11, not so much. I find their students to be the problem more than their alums or other fans. The students think that the best way to treat visitors is by yelling "Hey you $uck" at the opposing team and their fans. The stores in College Park even sell t-shirts reading "hey" on the front and "you $uck" on the back. It's their primary basketball cheer. I know our students do stuff like this too, but the fan culture at UMD, esp. among the student body, is very negative.
