Hurricane Helene/ Augusta National

wife was in Augusta 2 weeks ago for something work related and was shocked how much damage had been done from the hurricane in that area.

Sitting here watching the Masters, and it seems a slightly better effort was made at that golf course to collect storm debris than was made by the truck that was sent down our street by the government in which 2 individuals sat in a truck, extended the arm of the bucket, and gathered about 10% of the limbs awaiting pickup at the road/ditch by my neighbors house. Granted, i just burned mine back in December/January as I figured we’d never see anyone. However, many of my neighbors are still awaiting whatever company it was that was contracted to come back and complete the job 7 months later.

The golf course has a bit more money, and their own crew...

It's amazing how perfect Augusta National looks every year.

My guess is they had someone up in the trees catching the limbs before they hit the ground

Imagine being that guy who got a woody every time an illegal crossed the border, gladly offered up taxpayer money to house /feed/ provide medical care/gender reassignment surgeries and then turned around and called southern states “hurricane welfare states”!

You were told in November we think yall are weirdos that can’t be trusted around children, born or unborn, that should have told you something

He was talking about fema being defunded. Not once in his post did he say anything about abortions or illegal immigrants. What you did is put words in his mouth.

But what is going to happen when another major hurricane hits? Is trump gonna come down and pass out paper towels again?

my guess is there’s absolutely no way the next hurricane could in anyway be handled worse than Helene as far as goverment response.

But in a drastic turn of events, it’s seems it wasn’t just us common sense folks who knew that biden was absolutely mentally disabled for the 4 years he was in office, turns out now due to books being written now by unemployed ex CNN, MSNBC, NBC reporters, they knew it the whole time just didn’t have the balls to report it.

So to answer your question, I’m more than assured the next hurricane will be handled by a President Trump in a way in which folks who have “ I support whacko liberals” signs in their yards will not be bypassed for support unlike under biden where Trump supporters were told tough luck!

FEMA should be defunded. Maybe they can find a new system that will help out disaster relief, that will skip over democrats houses like FEMA was doing to republicans.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Considering the fact that FEMA was directly preventing relief efforts things

to Church and not only for the obvious reasonS. There use to be a time when people needed help there was the church and your community. I saw a lot of this in Western NC.

I know people pay taxes and expect more help. But if people are sitting around and waiting for the govt to come and dig you out, good luck with that!

I think people need to find a church and a good community instead of waiting on the "government man".

My in laws live in Augusta and Helene was devastating, they finally got their roof repaired a month ago and there’s still tremendous damage in the area. I finally won the ticket lottery and was at the practice round on Monday for a few hours before they “evacuated” for the weather and I can validate it was pristine, barely an azalea bloom out of place. Luckily they’re issuing a refund and guaranteed Monday tickets for next year!

I live in North Augusta less than 7 miles from the National. The area was devastated by Helene. My own home was without power for over a week. I took care of my own mess by hauling it off with my truck to the dump when able. Some in the area waited for months for debris to be collected and some are still waiting. It’s always best to handle your own if able. Many homes still have tarps on their roofs all around the area.
