just because they’re ACC. I don’t buy the narrative “we need them to win to validate our schedule” argument. I know some people think the strength of schedule matters, but it only matters if you have more than one loss. Take care of business by beating the crappy teams in the conference and SOS shouldn’t matter. I equate it to playing high school football. I hated everyone in my region, and when I played against them, I wanted to shove their faces in the ground. That’s how I feel about the other ACC teams. I don’t care who they play. I want them to lose and lose badly. Then, when we play them, we should beat them even more severely. Maybe that’s just me. What say you?

Not a good way to build up the credibility of our program. The narrative would remain that we play a weak schedule so we are no good.

I would disagree that Clemson is pretty bad. Clemson played in the CFP and won the ACC. The defense needs changes at the top but the offense was ranked 11th in the nation, Cade was the 3rd best QB in college football and we have most of our starters returning. I see a bright future for Clemson Football even if we have to outscore everyone.

when you take us out of the ACC the last 4 seasons we ARE NOT very good. The reason we were in the CFP was b/c of the new rules and since we won the pathetic ACC we get an auto bid.
Don't let the success vs High School teams skew your perception of our team.

Our offense put up big numbers on the best defense in the nation. We are a great offense. Our defense was pathetic tho.

Cade was 3rd best at throwing TD’s. Not total QBR. He was outstanding though.

As far as the last game with the dirt peckers here’s the way I look at it.
In the last three games with them Clemson is 1-1-1. They won 3 years ago, Tigers won last year and then the Clemson defense beat the Tigers this year.
Come on 2025. GO TIGERS

Credibility comes from beating Louisville and Texas. When we win those games we are recognized for greatness.. The rivalry game like most have a couple of years where tbe underdog has some successes. It happens and we shouldn't be sweating that. Clemson needs to start playing defense and all other things will fall in place.

Agree! Clemson can’t make the other teams better or help them win. We’ve been trapped in this conundrum for decades. These other ACC teams have to invest in their programs in order to make themselves better.
Because of of the ACC revenue sharing, so many of them have keep their football programs afloat riding on the coattails of Clemson’s success. Like I said in a post yesterday, the ACC has done nothing for Clemson.

I work with quite a few UGa and Scar fans who keep tabs on how many games their conference and our conference each win in the post season. I personally could not care less how Syracuse or Pitt do in their bowl games, but I don't want to listen to all the wannabes who will actually boast because Tech couldn't quite come back on Vandy...

I have been “pulling” against ACC teams since they added the extra year of probation. I also pull against any other teams we recruit against.

Of course you should pull for ACC teams. Why would you pull for UConn, Nebraska, Iowa State ECU today unless you are from those places?
