their service to Clemson University. Even though this move needed to be made IMHO, putting coaches out of work, even if they will probably all find other employment, should never be a cause for celebration. It means that they failed Clemson University, and Clemson University failed them, by hiring them into jobs that they were not capable of performing at a satisfactory level.

I make no Coaching hire suggestions, the only suggestion I have is that AD Neff take his time and conduct a thorough, nationwide search before picking a hopefully relatively young, energetic winner.

The one caveat would seem to be that the hire should have previous "Clemson ties". I say that because if the candidate DOESN'T have some form of previous Clemson connection, there is a portion of the fanbase that will never accept them, or wish them well, from Day One.

Wait, along those lines, I guess for sure, we also need a guy who has never had any sort of 2X National Baseball Championship Winning Coot ties either. Coach Lee had preordained hate by some of the radical Clemson fanbase because of that before he ever coached a game here.

For me personally, I want the candidate who has the best chance of returning our baseball program to a place of national prominence. If that guy has never set foot on Clemson's campus before, so be it. The only thing that I am relatively sure of, is that, no matter who it is, there will be somebody on TNET who comes out absolutely dead set against them. And that makes me sad, in advance.
