But every action we take has some consequence. Even the crap that I post here in the Lounge could at some point have a negative effect on my life. While I hate to see anyone lose their job, if this were to happen because of racist remarks he made in a very public arena then so be it. Maybe he learns something and becomes a better person because of it.

I dunno, I'd bet the people with pitchforks in that thread have all said much, much worse before and not had to face the same sort of consequences they're wanting to hand out. It was stupid and I cannot honestly believe someone would post something like that in 2017 and expect it to go well, but these social justice types get downright scary mane. My wife had to shut her twitter down after she made some comment to the effect of we welcome all LEGAL immigrants, and she had people from like Brazil threatening to burn our house down. Big eye opener.

But consequences is consequences. How many people have never had an opportunity to better their family situation based on nothing more than the unforeseen circumstances of life. Perhaps they are born with illness or maybe they are treated unfairly based on a predetermined bias. I feel bad for those that suffer consequences that are of no fault of their own. He actually did this. And if his family suffers, then he has to man up and bear that burden.
Admittedly, it's easy for me to pronounce this from my high horse because SJWs aren't attacking me. But like I said, I wouldn't participate or encourage anyone to participate in a witch hunt to ruin a man for what was probably a drunken or emotionally charged moment of stupidity. And I do agree that those leading the way are probably unfit to carry the torch that they are. Hopefully everything turns out all right for everybody and we all live in peace and harmony without fear of repercussions due to human imperfections. Kumbaya y'all and all that crap you know.

Yeah, I'm not sure the guy is a racist. What he said was to inflict harm but it wasn't motivated because XT is black, it was about him not playing for USuCk.
I might call a woman who cut me off in traffic a 'bich,' or call a mexican is a 'spic,' if he swerved in front of my car and scared me. Was any of that racism? I mean, come on guys. If hate for a gender, race or sexual preference isn't at the heart of a statement, is it really what everybody goes crazy about?
