Did anyone ever ask Dabo if there was a thought to pulling Mafah? Apologies if I missed it.
Of all the boneheaded decisions that led to the loss, leaving in a guy who was maybeee 60% seemed like the easiest to avoid. I’m not taking crazy pills in thinking there’s no chance this version of Mafah is our best option at RB right? I don’t blame Phil, personnel is up to Dabo not him.

That is the real scary thing…..nobody in the rb room can do better than a hurt mafah that avoids contact.🤷

That’s just flat out not true. Our coaches ineptitude regarding personnel management does not mean that there is not another good RB. Jay Haynes has proven he can be a solid RB2 and should have got more touches. Personally, I think Haynes takes that failed 4th&1 to the end zone.

No, mafah ran into the back of his blocks. If he bounced that ball off the left tackle it’s a TD.

J Haynes needs to start with Mafah coming in 10-15 plays. He’s a huge reason we lost the game. Haynes actually looked good on the few plays he was in. Blocking schemes may be biggest issue I would assume keeping him off the field, but usually it’s Dabo’s ignorance to use the guys he wants even though they clearly are not 100% and can’t take themselves out.

Falls back on coaching / recruiting. If you don’t have a 2nd string rb who knows the plays and can block that’s a huge fail !
