Tony Elliot may have been the worst offensive coordinator we have had in our program. That might be one of the issues.
His value, or lack thereof, is really showing at UVA. Offense is a complete disaster, outdated, and he turned some really great players into dumpster fires.
Mass exodus going on as well at UVA.
Thinking Tony looked like a 10 with Trevor and ETN.....but dude schemed like a zero

I have to disagree with that statement. I don’t believe Dabo and his staff switched to auto pilot. NIL, the TP and the infusion of big money for the SEC and $$$$$$ are one of the major changes affecting Clemson’s football program.
With all that Dabo has accomplished at Clemson I believe he has earned fan support during times of adversity. Plus many schools would trade places with Clemson. 12 years of 10 or more wins, first college team to go 15-0, we have won 2 National Championships and we have played in 5 or 6 consecutive CFP’s. 8 ACC Championships. Historic wins and some of the best talent to ever play at Clemson. Going 10-4 and 11-3 are successful seasons for most programs but many fans at Clemson see this as a bad season.

Loosing those power rangers really hurt! We had the offensive talent in 19 & (20?) But that defense was special (especially CW42)

In case you don’t remember our two biggest stud receivers were banged up before and during the Natty against LSU. Tee I think hit his head and left the game and J Ross was feeling that whole neck thing. We weren’t full strength.

Trevor also missed some throws against LSU

The one that grates on me the most is we were up 17-7 and he missed an open TD pass that would have made it 24-7.
Not his best game by far.
Also: Nolan dropped an easy INT, DK had a totally unnecessary PI on 3rd down late in the 2nd quarter that LSU converted to a TD.
The final blow was when Skalski got ejected. However, by then, we all knew what the outcome would be.

Just ran into two great teams in the playoffs. Can’t win em all. I don’t think this Georgia team wins 2, or even 1, in that stretch from 2018-20. If Jameson Williams doesn’t get hurt last year they might be winning their first tonight. But they deserve the credit for beating the teams lined up across from them

They should be wining zero. Ohio State should've won this year if Smith Ngiba didn't opt out of the season. Alabama should've beat them last year if all their WR weren't hurt.
Clemson played 2021 UGA to 10-3. We were good enough. Just one position. Had a turnip at QB.

The better hypotheticals are if Harrisonjr doesn’t get injured or Day doesn’t go into a shell in the final minute. But it’s all hypothetical, maybe nothing changes. Give them the credit for winning and hopefully the coaching staff and players use this as motivation to keep improving in order to climb back to the top.

FACTS. Dabo said that this year. He thought the 2015 team was more talented. A bunch of those guys are still in the NFL.

Isn't it obvious? Brent Venables D got torched by LSU and Ohio State in those last 2 playoff games. Both scored close to 50, if I remember.
That was the difference in those games. Not the offensive play calling. When they're moving it up and down the field it stresses your whole team. Defense gets tired. Offense starts to push. Then they don't execute as well.
You saw a UGA team tonight firing on all cylinders, playing fast, playing physical, and players in the right position to make plays.
Trevor Lawrence should've absolutely won 2 National Championships and a Heisman. He was that good.
We had it good...

Because in the four times we played for the title, we played

what were LABELED the four best teams in the history of college football. If our streak would have started two years ago, we would have won back to back. In all seriousness, neither of these Georgia teams would have beaten Bama or Clemson that played in Phoenix,Clemson or Bama that played in Tampa,Clemson or Bama that played in San Francisco,LSU or Clemson that played in New Orleans,or even Clemson or OSU in the semis. We won TWO in the hardest time in history to win one.

Who probably would've beaten this UGA team. If we had played a "normal" national championship level team instead of arguably the greatest CFB team of all time (at least by season's end), we likely win 2 in a row and 3 out of 4.

Horrible game day coaching, play calling and poor offensive line play killed any chances we had for a "Dynasty" of 3 years. Sad, because we will likely never see their kind on the same team at Clemson again.
