Loyalty

Why is loyalty so thin on this board? I think our staff has done an admirable job since taking over and they are making gains. The idea of immediate gratification has become a curse in our society. It takes hard work, dedication and time. We have a solid coach and staff. The reactions on this board mirror what is going on outside. People crumble in adversity. They turn on each other. They don't know how to deal with disappointment when things don't go their way. I sure hope our staff and our team can shut out all the gutless negativity that shows up on a board like this and can keep pulling the wagon.

Well said. People allow expectations to go wild and then disappointment follows. Give the team credit for the expectations though.

Bullpen has probably been our greatest strength who would have thought.

Entitled fans are now commonplace in college sports. There is no more love of the game or enjoying the competition as winning is the only thing that matters.

I couldn't agree more. Now I'm not saying you can't criticize anyone, because the ceiling for this team was Omaha, and we're at the floor of what they could have done. I see people on here saying they genuinely hate/dislike players for not performing, and that is by far the dumbest thing I have seen on TNet. I don't think everyone saying Bakich needs to go realizes how little amount of managerial talent exists in college baseball. Going from a guy who has taken MICHIGAN of all teams to the CWS and actually took Vanderbilt of all teams to three games to random coaches who had success at low major or D2 schools is crazy. The guy loves Clemson, and has this team hosting regionals every year, he's not a bad coach by any means. If he can start recruiting better Clemson will be in supers fighting for Omaha consistently. Everyone is so quick to forget the Monte years and how they didn't even make to the postseason the last two years he was here, and EB took that team to hosting a regional one year later.
