Guys, I’ve been a Clemson fan my whole life. I bleed orange. My garage is painted orange. My dog’s name is Dabo. But I’ve reached my breaking point. The coots just beat us in BOTH FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL this year. This is a new low!
First, they break our win streak 2 years ago, and I thought, “Okay, fine, even a blind squirrel finds a nut.” But then, they do it AGAIN this year. At HOME. In Death Valley. And now basketball?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We can’t even beat them in the sport where we are head and shoulders better than them this year!!!
I can’t go to church without hearing about “Beamer Ball” from my Gamecock neighbor. I can’t stop at QT for my taquito without seeing some guy in a South Carolina hoodie puffing his chest out like he’s on the team.
Hey at least we are in the playoff and they aren’t! But dangit I hate losing to those coots!

Yeah the high 5 era was definitely some dark times. I feel like the spurrier years put the biggest chip on Dabos shoulder to dominate this state and beyond. He had some of his best, most fired up sound bites towards the end of that run. Hopefully losing 2 out of 3 (both at home) will bring some of Dabo’s fire back to the rivalry. I know he understands the importance of the game, but I just haven’t seen the same fire recently compared to the end of Spurriers tenure

Nope this is not the low point but losing the last 2 out of 3 to the coots….isnt exactly heading in the right direction. Not to mention this last recruiting class full of 3 star diamonds in the rough isn’t near the talent we were bringing in back when we were elite.
