Loved watching Lefty coach a team. One of ACC'S BEST when the ACC was the best.

RIP. Lefty. Your name in ACC basketball will always be remembered.

In 1976 We played Maryland at Littlejohn on National TV (rare back then) Lefty had the rim checked at halftime to see if it was level. It fired up the Clemson crowd and Lefty later said it was to fire up his players. They won the game.

Instead of Maryland coming out after halftime, a P-plant guy with a 10 foot ladder and level came out.

That is hilarious. Lefty was a quirky guy but a good coach. Rip Lefty.

Lefty had some great teams at Davidson and had them ranked #2 behind UCLA consistently for a couple of years.

Those were some of the glory days of ACC and College basketball. Every ACC game was tough, all had great coaches.
