I'm following them, but right now I'm taking it as click bait. I think it is basically click bait. Everyone knows they can get clicks by talking about the CFP decision, the move to a P2 and how this will all work out in the end.
I don't think anybody who is speculating knows anything. The rumors are all over the place.
SEC wants UNC and UVA.
B1G wants FSU and Clemson.
SEC wants FSU and Clemson.
VT is going to B1G.
ACC and Big 12 are going to merge into one conference.
ACC and Big 12 are going to form an alliance, but stay separate conferences.
FSU, Clemson, UNC, NCSU, VT and UVA are going to SEC/B1G and the other schools are going to Big 12.
Big 12 is going to take 8 teams from ACC, so the ACC will vote to disband thereby nullifying GOR and exit fee.
Take your pick. Your guess is, literally, as good as theirs.

I always liked the idea of the Big 12 teams playing and coming up with a champion and the ACC schools playing and coming up with a champion and then obviously having a: Atlantic 16 conference champion.
Yes. The Atlantic 16 conference. LOL!
Every now and then going out to Stillwater or Waco or Lubbock.
But, who knows as you said.
