If it's for "keeping up with the Jones'", congratulations! It looks like that was accomplished!
Needless to say, it'll be fun for everybody to see it in the Valley on 9/10 all lit up! I hope it'll be packed out!

I think the big new board is for the fans who give tons to IPTAY and hence to the Athletic Department and then go on to buy 60,000 season tickets. Those 'in the seat fans' put $65M into supporting Clemson football. I think it is wise for Clemson to continue to upgrade the experience for fans who pay the bills.
I hope the new board is used to show instant replays as often as possible and to show the video the officials watch to make close calls. Can we get game stats as the game progresses? If not, why not?
I'd like for fans in the seats to have headphones where we can listen to the Clemson call of the game AND the tv call of the game.
If they really are going to take parking out of the lot behind the West End Zone, roof over a good bit of it, make it part of the stadium and improve the ambiance of attending games for the everyday fan sitting outdoors in the stands with good food, all kinds of drinks, and a bit of AC or Heat as needed to give the fans a break from the weather during halftime.
Amidst all the talk of big conference paydays, TV money and such, all schools need to do more for the fans who go to the game and put so much of their money into the program.

Now we just need to put the screen up so all of Tigernet can see it first. Hopefully, they helicopter it in so they don’t have to widen all the roads with the I-85 road crew.
The backside & size is amazingly beautiful!

Agree that it looks sort of weird from that direction with no screen panels on the front (field) side. My guess is that when the other side is done, you won’t see any gaps. We’ll know soon. JMO

design that looks good at some point. This is awful. I see other schools in major conferences and small conferences and the designs are impressive. I don't know who looks at something like that and approves it. Could have saved a hell of a lot of money.

I believe it will be a new tiger, but yes, there will be one. They're keeping the old one and placing it somewhere, but I don't think the final location has been decided yet. Probably somewhere by the practice facility.

it's rather a considered critique of the aesthetic quality of the design. "#itching," on the other hand, would be gratuitous and pointless griping - for example, when you're #itching about someone's critique by implying they're merely #itching.
For the record, it's cold, plain, industrial, boring, and not apropos for the purpose. They must've borrowed the design from a Tech corp HQ sign. Ugh. That's not #itching, it's skewering.

up to commemorate it. Then they took the years down. AD said on the circuit this spring that one of the things he wanted to do was improve the signage in and outside the stadium. Specifically talking about natty signage. He switched the inside signage to the other side. It is a little better in the way its formed. The outside, that right there, is disgraceful.
