October is STRONG right now, so I'm trying to nail down my shows for the month. The definites right now are Hannah Juanita at Eda's Hideaway in Weaverville, NC on Oct. 10. If you don't know the name, go listen now and thank me later. Summer Dean at the Thirsty Beaver on Oct. 13. and Xtreme World Wrestling Halloween Supershow at Waxhaw Taphouse on Oct. 18. The big ones I want to squeeze in this month are 50th Anniversary Street Party at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX. We'd also like to do Dia de los Muertos in San Antonio at the end of the month, but we'll see how logistics go.

Back in my day, I remember it was the Lobster Races and the Trials/Steeplechase, and that was about it as far as public events went. Maybe Aiken's Makin' belongs in that category too.
