I abhor the elitism and arrogance that pervades so much of the PGA Tour and to see Lucas Glover on top of the leaderboard makes me extremely happy. If he can duplicate the win last week, wonderful!
Salt of the earth, blue collar, no flash or glitz, and just real.
I know many on here hate me for being a Georgia fan. I just grew up in Athens and was a 5 year old little boy sitting on my pop’s lap in Sanford Stadium. And, went to grad school at UGA. It was fun, but a freak show.
Through the years I have morphed into a strong distaste for colleges and universities, including The University of Georgia and what it has become.
Clemson is one of the few traditional universities that still has some semblance of normalcy and sanity.
So, I am a Clemson fan. I can see the day when I drop UGA. I wonder if I will be accepted on here.
Anyway, Lucas Glover is my favorite golfer and I am really happy about his success and pulling for him.

Besides, we don't hate you. Or at least I don't. The team you pull for is not my cup of tea.

All Lucas ever needed to do was not miss from 6ft and in. He has always been one of the best from tee to green. You can't give away 6-8 shots a tournament on short putts. Statistics have always said if he could just quit with the short misses, he'd be a top 10 worldwide.
It looks like he may have FINALLY solved his problem.

I was born in Elberton, Ga on both sides of my family I have many fans of UGA & Clemson but no coots. My wife has 4-5 chickens fans, the tree doesn’t fork.
You’re welcome to the family but two things, change your name/avatar and announce & denounce. Tiger families are loyal win lose or draw.
Let those skeletons fall out of the closet too!

has become very selective, very elitist, very arrogant.
It has also become very “woke” and as a white, heterosexual, conservative, Christian male I was informed almost daily that I was the cause of every ill in society. The racism and sexism at UGA is both blatant and disgusting. I avoid at all costs and only venture to Athens on 6-7 Saturdays in the fall.

I have observed you through the years. You do not mind mixing it up and you do not back down.
I just kinda get bashed a lot, but I understand.

You 'sweat" all the Dawg posters. Its bizarre how quickly you can get to something one of us has posted. No one else here has that kind of obsession. Its pathetic yet entertaining.
We anxiously await your next jab.

watching the Golf Tournament last night and John Rahm holed out from the sand to birdie the last hole after hitting his drive into the water. The smile on his face and the joy he felt seemed to be shared by his playing partners.
I said to my wife, something to the affect of "Look at the joy on his face after hitting one into the water and all of his struggles. That'll change his whole perspective going into tomorrow. He'll sleep a lot better after hitting that one shot. I really like Rahm. He seems like a great guy. Most of these guys on the tour seem like really good guys and they genuinely enjoy being around each other."
I guess it's just a matter or perspective.

I have really gotten to like Rahm as he has matured.
Lucas is indeed a great guy but has taken a rap for being standoffish, when if fact he is an introvert that just isn't real comfortable around a lot of people. He never seems real comfortable doing interviews.

I have played golf with Lucas many times and you are 100% correct. He is a wonderful young man and just a good old country boy. When he hits a golf ball, he is one of those rare players whose contact "sounds" different than us mere mortals. Best hands for striking a golf ball I ever saw.

Very happy for Lucas
He has been grinding and the putting improvement has obviously taken him to the top.

Sure it’s great when he does well, but he has zero public appeal. Which isn’t a bad thing, but he’s about the most vanilla person on tour.

Vanilla.
Glitz and pizazz never last.
Just like the women I go out with. Had to let the shooting stars move on. They are like ice cream cones - on a July afternoon
