Some teams are good about tracking Clemson offers to decide who they will offer.

They must believe he will be a difference maker for Clemson. Maybe they don't want us to get him whether they need him or not.

I guess this validates Dabo offering a 3 star. Let the people paid to evaluate the talent do their jobs.

Don’t they already have like 28 commits? Do kids not see them be over signing and know what that means?

These kids have been told

Their whole lives how great they are at football. In their minds they probably think “oh that will never happen to me….I’m too good.” Then it does happen to them. Sad story really, saw it happen to a few guys I grew up playing football with.

Going to be hard for them to say they didn’t really want him just a week after offering him.
Maybe now that they’ve FINALLY won something they won’t be so insufferable about recruiting.

I think that CJ has a really good head start with this kid , and him taking a quick official to Clemson is a great sign for us in my estimation.

Then, unfortunately, he's a Dawg. Going all the way back to
Jan 7, 2023, 8:46 AM

the Hershel Walker days, I have never seen their bagman miss on a running back they truly wanted.
Now, they may not make a big push for him, but with the SEC NIL war chest, they probably will.
The sad part is, this move strikes me a lot like Bama, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, etc used to do back before the days of scholarship limits. Sign everybody, because he can't play against you if he is standing on YOUR sideline. But, with the Portal, they can't hold him if he sees the light.
The Dawgs know, just like everybody else, that the biggest NON-SEC threat to make the CFP each year is US, sitting practically on their doorstep. So, whatever they can do to weaken that chance, they will try it.
