Have the coaches been playing the best players all season? I didn’t see blocking and running and the defense wasn’t quite that dominant all year.

We have some very impressive looking young players on defense. Wow

Backwards. The player earns his playing time in practice. Practice does not exactly simulate how they will play on game day, but it is the process and their only means of evaluation until they actually get in a game. The practice film does not lie, but it can’t account for adrenaline and opportunity.
Lou Gehrig was on the bench until he wasn’t.
We knew that we recruited studs and they came to play when given their opportunity.
